Dear Friends,
I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you! After more than two years of dedicated collaboration, Ishan Shivanand's book The Practice of Immortality has officially been released and is now available for readers everywhere. To those who have asked me about my work over this time—this is the amazing Indian monk I’ve been talking about 😊
Working on this book has been one of the most fulfilling creative experiences of my career. Ishan's journey takes readers from his childhood in a monastery in Rajasthan on a journey of spiritual evolution across India, weaving ancient yogic wisdom into accessible practices that anyone can incorporate into their daily lives.
What makes The Practice of Immortality special isn't a promise of living forever in the literal sense—rather, it offers insights on expanding our relationship with time and connecting with the timeless essence within ourselves. Each chapter concludes with a meditation practice (called a "Samadhi") that invites readers to experience these concepts directly, making this both an absorbing memoir and a practical guide to spiritual growth.
Throughout the collaboration process, I found myself deeply moved by Ishan's insights on overcoming psychological obstacles (what he calls the "dark passenger") and his teachings about finding an anchor in chaos through meditation. These principles resonated with me on both professional and personal levels.
If you've ever been curious about the roots of meditation, yogic philosophy, or simply how to find peace in our hectic world, I believe you'll discover something valuable in Ishan's work. The book is available now at major booksellers and online retailers.
I'd love to hear what you're reading these days or what books have inspired you lately. And if you do pick up a copy of Ishan’s book, I'd be delighted to hear your thoughts!
As always, thank you for being part of this journey together.
Warmly,
Sally
